History of
OPERA PLAZA
From the beginning, Opera Plaza was conceived of as a unique community--an entire neighborhood--on an entire city block offering a wide choice of residences, businesses and shops, and fine recreational facilities.
Completed in 1982, Opera Plaza consists of three mid-rise towers which house studio, one- and two-bedroom condominiums and two- and three-bedroom multi-level townhouse condominiums. In addition to its 450 residential units, commercial tenants occupy over 80,000 square feet of offices and retail shops at the plaza and mezzanine levels with the convenience of over 600 subterranean parking spaces.
Opera Plaza's architect, John Carl Warnecke, described the complex as a stimulating design challenge based on "the concept of the urban village, which provides both residential and commercial space in a high-density urban area, while at the same time serving as a peaceful oasis where people can live, work, shop and relax."
